Quick start
running on your computer.

01Before you start

• node -v prints v20.12 or higher.
• npm -v answers (it ships with Node).
• python3 --version answers (only for the local preview server; any static server works).
• No API keys and no accounts are needed for a first look.

02The ten minutes

1. Unzip and open a terminal in source/Unzip the download. Open prediction-v1.0.0/source/: that folder contains index.html, admin/ and config/, and these docs call it the repository root. documentation/ is this guide; licenses/ holds the third-party licences.
2. Preview the public pages

   python3 -m http.server 8777   # then open http://127.0.0.1:8777

   The pages show the data already committed in the package.
3. In a second terminal, install the admin

   cd admin
   npm install
   npm run init       # once: writes admin/.env with a fresh ADMIN_SECRET_KEY (file mode 600)

4. Start the admin

   npm start          # http://127.0.0.1:8811/admin

5. Create the ownerOpen http://127.0.0.1:8811/admin, enter the one-time setup code printed in the terminal, your email and a password of at least 12 characters.
6. Set your brandFill Get started and Brand. Each save rewrites config/public.json; reload the preview to see it.

03What you should see

The admin prints (release 1.0.0, 2026-09-29) Tested:

[admin] No owner account yet. Open /admin and create it with this one-time setup code:

[admin] The code is shown once, here only. Each start before the owner exists adds a new code; any printed code works until the owner is created.

• http://127.0.0.1:8777/ shows the landing page with "builder code: not set".
• /scanner/public/index.html and /terminal/public/index.html show the Scanner and the Terminal.
• The admin sidebar header reads Prediction Stack · Admin · v1.0.0.
• Admin → Status shows two warnings (Polygon RPC and Telegram bot token not set). They are optional.
